Playwork apprenticeship

Job description
Playtimextra are looking to recruit 3 playworkers to work in their Howardian Primary School morning and afterschool clubs. The role will be Monday to Thursday 7:35am – 9:05am and 3pm – 6pm and a Friday on a rota basic. This role is 48 weeks per year and includes school holidays and inset days.

Some of your duties as a playworker will include:

Supporting children including arts and crafts, sport and messy play. 

Cleaning and ensuring high standards of hygiene are maintained throughtout the setting 

Observation of the children, including reporting behaviour

Reporting any incidents

This role require you to work 7:35am to 9:05am and 3pm to 6pm Term time and up to 25 hours in holidays. Please ensure you can commit to these hours before applying for this role. 

Entry requirements

Good communication

Dedicated to working with children and completing a playwork qualification 

A DBS check will be required for this role. 

Skills required

Commited to a career with children

Dedicated to completing a 12 month qualification in Playwork Level 2 or 3. 

Ability to work with Children

Personal qualities

This role will suit someone who lives locally to the school due to the requirement of mornings and afternoons. You will be passionate about working with children and providing a safe and stimulating environment for them.

First Aid Training
