Early Years Level 3 Apprenticeship – Riverside Nursery School

Job description

As a level 3 apprentice you will be a key member of the nursery team, your daily activities may include:

Planning and implementing fun and educational activities with the children 

Play alongside and with children to support their play

Supporting children’s creative and imaginative experiences 

Maintaining development records on key children 

Supervising children at rest times and at mealtimes 

Contributing to and promoting health and safety 

Ensuring the play area is clean and tidy at all times 

Working closely with parents and providing feedback on their child

Employer information

Set in a beautiful rural location, the setting focuses on outdoor learning in their substantial play areas which encourage children to develop their imagination, hone their physical skills, & discover the wonder of the outdoors  whatever the weather

A separate baby annex in the old stables, providing a homely and safe environment including a dedicated baby garden designed specifically with 0-2 year olds in mind

Meals are cooked fresh daily, by their dedicated cook following dietitian approved menus

They follow the Early Years Foundation Phase curriculum, together with "In the moment planning" enabling each child to develop at their own pace

Their mission is to provide children with a fun and challenging natural learning experience and have been doing just that since 1989!

Children are welcomed from the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years in our nursery and preschool and we provide a holiday club for children from the ages of 4 to 11 years.

Requirements

General

A-C (4-9) Grades in maths or equivalent is essential

A-C (4-9) Grades in English or equivalent is essential 

Level 2 childcare or experience of working in a childcare environment

Progression to a higher qualification or full time employment may be available after completing the apprenticeship.

Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

Level 3 Early Years Educator Diploma

End-Point Assessment (EPA)

Paediatric first aid
