Job description

During the Dental Nurse Apprenticeship you will receive ongoing support, development and training to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified dental nurse and have a successful career in dental nursing.

Your daily activities could include:

  • Assisting the dentist in providing safe and effective treatments to patients, from simple check-ups to advanced specialist treatments
  • Proving patients with a high level of care
  • Setting up and cleaning surgery
  • Sterilising instruments
  • Updating patient records
  • Maintaining equipment
  • Preparing instruments and materials for various treatments
  • Adhering to practice policies and procedures

Practice has been established since 1996 and acquired by new owners in 2017. Mallard Dental Practice is a family run dental practice, comprising of a 3 clinic practice, 2 dentists and 1 hygienist. The practice is located in the village of Henfield, West Sussex. The practice has a family and friendly atmosphere with a good connection to local community. Mallards Dental Practice is a busy practice, providing emergency dentistry to fillings to managing replacement of teeth and dentures. They service both NHS and private patients and we are looking for an apprentice to join our nursing team.
