What is a traineeship?
A traineeship is a skills development programme lasting a minimum of 7 weeks, including a work placement and is an exciting stepping stone, setting you up for your future career.
The programme will:
Build your confidence and employability
Support you with maths, English and digital skills
Develop your CV writing and interview techniques
Gain industry specific knowledge, skills and behaviours
Give you real work experience
Develop techniques to help you secure that job or apprenticeship
The traineeship was a lot of fun, a truly relaxed experience. Everyone on the traineeship team was very laid back and supportive.

Is a traineeship right for me?
Traineeships are the perfect solution for young people who are motivated to get a job but are held back by a lack of skills and experience. If you have been unsuccessful at applying for apprenticeship vacancies because of this reason then you may be a good candidate to enrol onto a traineeship.

Your eligibility will depend on your circumstances however these are the basic requirements. You must be living in England, aged between 16 and 24, not have previously completed a traineeship or apprenticeship and not hold a qualification up to or including a Level 3.
What happens when I complete my traineeship?
At the end of your traineeship if a position becomes available within the company you will be given an interview by the employer for that position. However if a vacancy has not become available the employer will still give you an interview and will give you feedback on your time with the company plus a formal reference. You will also be helped to look for an appropriate apprenticeship where this is agreed as an appropriate route for you.
Where can I do my traineeship?
