Adult Care Workers are the frontline staff who help adults with care and support needs to achieve their personal goals and live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives.

The Adult Care Worker course is designed to cover the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the Level 2 Adult Card worker standard.  Topics include:-

  • Roles and responsibilities.
  • Personal and professional development.
  • Values and behaviours.
  • Duty of care.
  • Communicating effectively.
  • Working as part of a team.
  • Health, safety and wellbeing.
  • Respecting equality and diversity.
  • Safeguarding adults from harm and abuse.
  • Caring for individuals.
  • Care planning and support.
  • Understanding mental health.
  • Understanding dementia.
  • Understanding learning disabilities.

Alongside this, the content includes introductory material and resources to support learners to prepare for End Point Assessment.

The licence duration for this product is 18 months.

If you have your own Learning Management System which is LTI compliant, you can access the resources from within that system, negating the need for learners to log on to two platforms.
