Pre Enrolment Initial Assessment - Learner Induction
Through your apprenticeship you will gain the technical knowledge, practical experience and wider skills needed for your current role and future career. You will gain this through a mix of learning on the job, formal off-the-job training and opportunities to practise new skills in a real work environment.
We want to make sure that you will gain substantial new knowledge, skills and behaviours by completing this apprenticeship, therefore we must assess whether this apprenticeship is right for you and that you are studying at the appropriate level.
The following questions relate to the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be achieved by the end of the Apprenticeship, as outlined in the Standard. Please read through each of the statements and then assess how confidently, competently and consistently you can carry out each in your role and score yourself accordingly. It is important that you are realistic and objective in your scoring.
Please think about your role in relation to your WHOLE organisation, not just your area of work.
Once you have scored yourself we would like you to discuss these scores with your line manager. For any scores of 3 and above you must provide evidence to substantiate this score.
Scoring Rules
Please use the drop down to indicate if you already have any prior knowledge or skills that cover the criteria, partially or completely. If you answer yes to any of the criteria, please provide a brief description to support this in boxes provided. You may be asked to provide further evidence.
1 = No Skills or Knowledge
2 = Limited Skills or Knowledge
3 = Good Skills or Knowledge
4 = Excellent Skills or Knowledge
Don’t be discouraged if you assess yourself as having low scores. Low scores may demonstrate that you will learn significant new skills, knowledge and behaviours which could indicate that this is the right Apprenticeship for you. If you find that you are scoring highly on the majority of the Standards this may indicate that the programme is not appropriate for you.
