Employer of the month – May 2020
Outstanding contribution to apprenticeships
In May 2020, Cardiff Homecare services was nominated for the employer of the month award with Aspiration Training for their outstanding contribution to apprenticeships.
During the beginning of this year, ‘Cardiff Homecare services’ suffered a flood which resulted in loosing PPE, documentation and a lot of equipment. And just peeking its ugly head around the corner, COVID – 19 approached relentlessly. However, in the face of difficulty and uncertainty, the management team were able to pull through and still provide excellent and around the clock care for their residents, staff and apprentices. The team banded together and even though some fell ill, they were able to source more PPE and provide the best care possible regardless of the situation they found themselves in.
The Aspiration Training team votes internally for the most outstanding contribution to apprenticeships. Alyson Dale, our business development manager, whom nominated Cardiff Homecare services, couldn’t praise the dedication and leadership of Rosemarie David and Jeffery Greenman enough. In her nomination she writes
“They have risen to many challenges over the past few months and what hasn’t beat them has made them stronger.”
Rosemarie and Jeffery have stated in a testimonial.
“We are so pleased to hear we have won employer of the month; it has been a roller – coaster of a year so far with our main office being flooded out in February and COVID – 19 straight on top. This has given us and the staff a boost.’ They feel that ‘The more training we can provide our care workers and support through QCF it will boost their confidence to further their careers in a more understanding manner.”
We are extremely proud to have Cardiff Homecare services as an employer here at Aspiration Training and we wish them all the luck in recovering through these difficult times. Not that they need it.
