Outstanding contribution to apprenticeships

Each month at Aspiration Training, our team nominate employers whom they feel have made an outstanding contribution to supporting learners with apprenticeships and traineeships. Each nomination is then voted on anonymously and a winner selected.

Our March employer of the month winner is North Cornelly Community Playgroup for their continued support and dedication to their employees, and to working closely with us at Aspiration Training to progress their team.

North Cornelly Community Playgroup’s Manager, Libby Davies, continuously creates a warm, respectful and outstanding workplace. She is able to consistently provide support for her team, parents and children in a friendly but professional manner.

Emma Woodford, Aspiration Training Knowledge Coach, who nominated North Cornelly Community Playgroup gave this reason for her nomination:

‘I nominated North Cornelly Community Playgroup as they meet all the Aspiration Training values. I had a warm welcome on my first visit, and I could instantly see how supportive this Manager is in offering advice and guidance to her team. They are on board with the learner’s qualification, giving extra support and monitor their progress. When a learner is struggling, she gives them motivation and practical advice on how to meet the standards. The setting operates term-time only, and I have been given their own personal number and email address to contact them when needed during the holidays. When a safeguarding issue arose, she offered additional support to me and the staff member to ensure our wellbeing was protected. This was a sensitive issue, and they remained friendly but professional throughout. All of the team who work at the setting have mentioned on many occasions how good of a Manager Libby is. They refer to her as a friend who always thinks about the team, parents and children before herself. They often arrange team events and wellbeing days to support team members during these difficult times.’

 

Upon hearing this fantastic news, Libby Davies replied with…

‘I am very humbled and shocked to receive the employer of the month award, but also over the moon to receive such lovely feedback. I always say how lucky I am to have such an amazing team, so I believe this is for them too. It’s been a difficult year for childcare providers all over, so to know that you are valued by your team and partners means a lot. It’s great that Aspiration Training thinks of their partners in this way and boosts our esteem through these awards. Thank you so much for this, it has made my day and it really does mean the world.’

We are very excited and proud to work with ‘North Cornelly Community Playgroup’ in the future and value our ongoing relationship with them. We admire Libby very much and how she is always able to be an exceptional Manager, especially during the last year.
