Outstanding contribution to apprenticeships

Each month at Aspiration Training, our team nominate employers whom they feel have made an outstanding contribution to supporting learners with apprenticeships and traineeships. Each nomination is then voted on anonymously and a winner selected.

This month, we award this fantastic achievement to ‘Chancery Dental’ and its manager Katrina Newlyn. We take great pride in awarding this to ‘Chancery Dental’ because of their constant commitment to ensuring their learners are well supported and have the necessary skills to succeed. Katrina and her team always put the learners first even through the hardships of the last 18 months.

‘Chancery Dental’ was nominated by Lisa Chamberlain, one of our Dental Nurse Vocational Trainers. She had this to say about Katrina and ‘Chancery Dental’ in her nomination…

“This employer was one of the first settings I was given when I started with the company.  Katrina has always taken the time to support the learner within the setting and has always been on hand to support my requests. Even though dentistry has had a rough 18 months, they have always done the right thing and supported their learner.  Ensuring that the learners study time was protected and jumping at the chance to take on the role of exam invigilator to support the learner further. During the summer last year when they were getting used to the new enhanced infection control measures, this practice also considered the staff and new working conditions and altered bookings to ensure staff were able to work comfortably in the heat. This employer has on often covered the learner so they can attend their sessions with me.”

She then goes on to say…

“Nothing is too much for them to ensure the learners progression. Whenever I have had to call this setting, it was always met with a professional and supportive attitude.”

Upon hearing this fantastic news, Katrina responded by saying…

“We are extremely happy to have received Employer of the month. Working with Aspiration Training and the team has been a pleasure for us all. Lisa has been supportive throughout and always on hand when needed. She is full of knowledge and always extremely professional. The last year has been exceptionally difficult for our nurses going through training and having to adapt to a different learning environment, but with Lisa’s support, they achieved great results.”

We love to hear about the great work and contributions our employers do and value our ongoing relationship with Chancery Dental. Katrina continues to be a shining example of our values and even through difficult times, she upholds to the highest standards and support.
