Outstanding contribution to apprenticeships

Each month at Aspiration Training, our team nominate employers whom they feel have made an outstanding contribution to supporting learners with apprenticeships and traineeships. Each nomination is then voted on anonymously and a winner selected.

This month, we award this fantastic achievement to ‘Five Oaks’ and its manager Ritchie Wood. We take great pride in awarding this to ‘Five Oaks’ because of their unrelenting commitment to ensuring learners progress, regardless of the circumstance. During the pandemic, Ritchie has ensured that he can support his employees and learners in any possible way and always steps up. He prioritises the essential needs of others and demonstrates the exceptional qualities of a leader.

‘Five Oaks’ was nominated by Patricia Davies, one of our Health and Social Care Vocational Trainers. She had this to say about Ritchie and ‘Five Oaks’ in her nomination…

“I would like to nominate this employer for all the support he gives to his employees! This person attended zoom sessions when he was needed but due to the restrictions, I was unable to access the work setting to complete observations. However, due to mitigating circumstances, we could use EWT which required a person to attend training. When this was mentioned to this person he sent his availability straight away, changing his days to accommodate and attend the zoom sessions to enable him to complete EWT. He then got straight onto this and emailed me when it had been completed and to arrange a session for professional discussion. I do feel this person deserves this nomination for his dedication and support to his staff to progress with their qualification.”

Upon hearing this fantastic news, Ritchie responded by saying…

“I’m delighted to win employer of the month! It shows that when managers, learners and the training company all work together, the learners can progress on their courses and achieve great results. Thank you very much.”

He then goes on to discuss his relationship with Aspiration Training by saying…

“Aspiration Training has always been positive, professional, and straightforward. The assessors and all other staff have been really helpful and are very knowledgeable, we have enjoyed helping each other and working together. The systems that Aspiration Training use mean that everyone is aware of the progress of learners at all times, and I would recommend Aspiration Training.”

We love to hear about the great work and contributions our employers do and value our ongoing relationship with Five Oaks. Ritchie continues to be a shining example of our values and even through difficult times, he upholds to the highest standards and support.

Congratulations and thank you to Ritchie and Five Oaks for your outstanding contribution to apprenticeships.
