We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with experience in the teaching/coaching sector, who thrives upon helping others achieve their goals and is passionate about improving peoples lives through education. This role will be working remotely but within a very supportive and successful team.

In addition, we offer an exceptional benefits package and a competitive salary of up to £26,000 per annum, dependant on experience and an OTE of up to £32,000.

Key Duties

Key duties

People:

  • Works in partnership with Vocational & Skills Coaches to support effective knowledge delivery to groups of learners from a variety of settings
  • Ensures own CPD and professional competency is maintained
  • Strives to maintain positive working relationships across the team
  • Maintains a flexible approach to support your team and the wider business

Quality & Compliance:

  • Delivers high quality teaching, coaching and assessing through remote group sessions to verify skills, knowledge and competence of learners against the Functional Skills core curriculum.
  • Supports learners to achieve their apprenticeship in accordance with agreed targets and timescales.
  • Accountable for the accurate tracking and reporting of learner progress against plan using the digital portfolio system, including uploading evidence to learner portfolios
  • Ensures schedule of group sessions is available for learners to book in advance, effectively managing non-attendance so that all learners can progress in a timely way
  • Track, monitor and record session delivery satisfaction rates
  • Acts as sector expert to review and contribute to the development of curriculum resources so that they are current and fit for purpose.
  • Manages and maintains quality and compliance measures against targets
  • Accesses management reporting systems to keep up to date with relevant compliance measures.
  • Keeps up to date with, and adheres to, company policies and procedures at all times
  • Commits and contributes to maintaining an effective safeguarding culture and takes responsibility for helping to protect colleagues and learners against any risk of harm, including all types of bullying, radicalisation or abuse
  • Takes responsibility for the protection of data in line with policies and procedures

Stakeholders:

  • Provides high levels of customer service to learners and employers at all times, actively promoting participation in group learning sessions
  • Provides relevant information, advice and guidance in order to support learner progression
  • Supports internal stakeholders with accurate forecasting of learner activity and providing information and documents as required
  • Actively participates with external stakeholders during audits and quality inspections
  • Promotes a positive and professional image of the company and all of the services it delivers through excellent customer service
  • Demonstrates and upholds the company values, creating a great place to work for all

Growth:

  • Actively promotes additional services to employers and learners
  • Works to maximise attendance of group sessions, managing learners to complete their learning on time
  • Contributes positively to growth of the business by controlling costs
Qualifications and Experience

Knowledge & Desirable Experience:

  • Recent experience of working within the relevant delivery sector (essential)
  • Good working knowledge of the education and training sector
  • Experience in teaching Reformed Maths and English Functional Skills at Level 1 and Level 2
  • Experience in delivering remote/classroom group sessions to a wide variety of learners (including those with specific learning differences)
  • Experience in developing effective and engaging e-resources to support online teaching, learning and assessment

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant teaching qualification at Level 4 or above
  • Level 2 or above in English and Maths (essential)
  • Full driving licence
  • Level 2 ICT qualification or equivalent
  • Level 4 Information, Advice and Guidance
