Sector Manager - AEB

We are seeking a Sector Manager to be based in Birmingham within our AEB/Traineeship division to mentor and coach the team, to support them with reaching their KPI’s and to deliver an outstanding teaching and learning experience for learners. Ensuring as many learners achieve their qualification as possible using a range of teaching and coaching methods embracing digital technology.

Key Duties
  • Actively support, coach and mentor team members to ensure high standards of learner and employer experience and customer service
  • Create a culture within teams where digital systems and ways of working are embraced and fully utilised
  • Role model the company values and behaviours, creating a great place to work for all
  • Ensure yourself and your team maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of operational and business targets
  • Manage any client/learner complaints, comments or compliments and take appropriate action providing high levels of customer service to learners and employers at all times
  • Lead team meetings to ensure a robust platform for operational communication
  • Ensure monthly standardisation meetings are undertaken
  • Contribute and present at company and management meetings
  • Lead and contribute to ad-hoc cross sector/function projects to support the delivery of strategic plan
  • Support the team to maintain a full caseload, accurately forecasting caseloads overtime to enable business planning
  • Work with the curriculum team to support the creation, development and launch of new, industry leading and innovative training products
  • Ensure contract delivery and performance is on target and within budget
  • Promoting business growth through a culture of continuous improvement and effective business development opportunities.
  • Further develop the delivery of an operating plan that delivers the adult education strategy and objectives
Qualifications and Experience
  • Level 2 English and maths
  • Leadership/Management qualification
  • Level 4, Information, Advice and Guidance
  • Driving licence
  • D32/33 or A1 award
  • Relevant teaching qualification
  • Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
  • Working knowledge of the Further Education/Training sector
  • Significant people management experience
  • Demonstrable experience of managing P&L, forecasting and budgets
  • Excellent understanding of government and funding body requirements around Adult education and traineeship funding

  • Organisational skills and a sound attention to detail
  • Competent in the use and purpose of technology with strong IT skills in Microsoft office, learner management systems and Virtual learning environments
