Quality & Compliance Director

Aspiration Training are currently looking to recruit a Quality & Compliance Director to work in the West Midlands. The role will involve leading Aspiration Training England’s quality, compliance and curriculum teams, ensuring the right systems and processes are in place to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of the quality delivery.

Ensuring delivery is consistently rated good or better by Ofsted, establishing areas for continuous improvement and development, actively shaping Aspiration Training’s quality priorities and operating procedures whilst contributing to the business strategy.

Oversees a robust internal audit strategy to ensure compliance with funding rules and high levels of compliance in external audits.

Develops and leads the curriculum strategy ensuring teaching resources are up to date, highly effective at supporting good quality teaching and optimised remote delivery.

Plays an active part in the senior management team both strategically and with practical day to day support for the wider team.

Key responsibilities
  • Leads a remote team across quality, compliance & curriculum to achieve business goals and priorities
  • Coaches and manages the performance of direct reports in line with performance expectations and KPI’s to maintain a high performance culture
  • Works closely with HR team to ensure effective learning, development & CPD across the business
  • Leads and co-ordinates Aspiration Training’s self-assessment cycle to identify strengths and address development areas in line with Education Inspection Framework (EIF) judgements
  • Develops and leads the teaching & learning strategy and activity to ensure high quality of teaching
  • Takes ownership of Ofsted readiness plan to ensure Aspiration Training is Ofsted ready and maintains a minimum of Grade 2, playing the role of nominee at inspection.
  • Liaises and maintains excellent working relationships with funding bodies, regulators and Awarding Organisations
  • Acts as Head of Centre for Awarding Organisation activities
Qualifications and Experience
  • Specialist experience of leading Quality & Compliance teams in education and training sector
  • Expert level working knowledge and experience of:
  • UK apprenticeship and adult education market
  • ESFA funding rules and leading funding body audits
  • Curriculum best practices and blended learning delivery models
  • Ofsted Inspection Framework
  • Prevent Duty & Safeguarding legislation
  • Experience managing H&S in a further education setting
  • Level 2 English and maths
  • Degree in Business related subject
  • Leadership/Management qualification
  • Teaching qualification
  • Formal audit qualification

  • Competent in the use and purpose of technology with strong IT skills in Microsoft office, learner management systems and Virtual learning environments
