Marketing Executive

The Marketing Executive will assist in implementing and delivering the marketing and communications strategy in cooperation with the Head of Marketing and will be responsible across all marketing activity for the business.

Key Duties


  • To produce the layout, artwork and design of internal and external communications
  • Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders, e.g. customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations
  • Conducting market research including customer questionnaires and focus groups
  • Liaise with stakeholders to take, analyse and translate briefs; providing advice on the best design options.
  • Establish sound relationships with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Maintaining and updating customer databases; sharing of leads and key data with Business Development Managers
  • Support with writing and proof-reading marketing materials
  • Managing the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters and e-newsletters
  • Arranging for the effective distribution of marketing materials
  • Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts with the aim of generating leads and business development
  • Evaluating and tracking the success of marketing campaigns, generating leads and sharing these with the business development team
  • Ongoing support with the delivery of the social media strategy with a focus on continuous improved engagement across channels
  • Ongoing support with the delivery of the digital strategy including website maintenance, SEO, PPC and online chat
  • Create new ideas and solutions to produce visually cohesive messages for marketing campaigns and activities over a range of media with lead generation being a key objective.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to deliver campaigns – print and digital
  • Ensure all design work is delivered on-time, within scope and budget.
Knowledge competencies
  • A comprehensive working understanding of generic marketing processes and techniques, including research and social media
  • Knowledge of training & education market.
  • Ability to storyboard and liaise with relevant stakeholders and collaborate with the internal teams
  • Level 4 qualification in Marketing or another relevant subject (essential)
  • Previous experience of working in the apprenticeship or education sector
  • Digital garage/google squared or other digital marketing qualification
Behavioural competencies

Organisational skills and a sound attention to detail.

  • Excellent graphic design skills.
  • Excellent numeracy & IT skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
