Marketing Executive

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can provide day-to-day marketing activity support across all channels and areas of the business.

What you need

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, energetic and self-motivated professional with:

  • A passion for design and marketing and an understanding of how they work together
  • The creative flair to take ideas from concept through to realisation
  • A high level of literacy, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills, a high degree of initiative and the proven ability to multi-task
  • Strong time management skills and an appreciation of the need to meet deadlines
  • Digital and email marketing experience (MailChimp etc.) and managing social media campaigns and advertising
  • Familiar and experienced in managing social media presence across all popular social media platforms
  • A thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software preferably Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, WordPress CMS (knowledge of HTML, CSS) and Video Editing experience (Final Cut or Premiere Pro), as well as a good working knowledge of all Microsoft packages (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • SEO experience and optimisation
Key responsibilities


  • Maintaining and updating customer databases; sharing of leads and key data with Business Development Managers
  • Support with writing and proof-reading marketing materials
  • Liaising with printers
  • Managing the design and production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters and e-newsletters
  • Arranging for the effective distribution of marketing materials
  • Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts with the aim of generating leads and business development
  • Evaluating and tracking the success of marketing campaigns, generating leads and sharing these with the business development team
  • Ongoing support with the delivery of the social media strategy with a focus on continuous improved engagement across channels
  • Ongoing support with the delivery of the digital strategy including website maintenance, SEO, PPC and online chat
  • Organising and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions; capturing these on photography and video
  • Create new ideas and solutions to produce visually cohesive messages for marketing campaigns and activities over a range of media with lead generation being a key objective.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to deliver campaigns – print and digital
  • Ensure all design work is delivered on-time, within scope and budget.

  • Present key updates within marketing team meetings
  • Through influence and credibility ensure momentum and engagement of marketing campaigns and business development activity for all areas of the business
  • Undertaking projects and initiatives as directed by your line manager

  • Produce the layout, artwork and design of internal and external communications.
  • Participating in and supporting the annual self-assessment process
  • Ensuring adherence to funding body, inspectorate and awarding body procedures
  • Contributing to sustainability and becoming a global citizen
  • To comply with the company’s equality and diversity , Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies
  • Ensure that colleagues and learners are safeguarded against all types of bullying, radicalisation or abuse


  • Reviewing and reporting on relevant government publications
  • Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders, e.g. customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations
  • Conducting market research including customer questionnaires and focus groups
  • Liaise with stakeholders to take, analyse and translate briefs; providing advice on the best design options.
  • Establish sound relationships with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Promote a positive and professional image of the Company and all of the services it delivers
Qualifications, Skills and Experience


  • A comprehensive working understanding of generic marketing processes and techniques, including research, digital and social media


  • Previous experience of working in the apprenticeship or education sector
  • Digital garage / Google Squared or other digital marketing qualification


  • Proficient use of Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Photoshop and PremierPro
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Outstanding organisational skills and a sound attention to detail


  • Level 4 qualification in marketing or other relevant subject
  • Level 2 qualifications in maths and English
