Learning and Development Advisor

Key Duties
  • Conduct in depth learning needs analysis within existing or potential development areas of the business, recommending appropriate solutions and interventions.
  • Produce and deliver a robust 12 month internal training plan
  • Ensure planned training is aligned to business strategy and operational requirements
  • Support line managers to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
  • Produce & maintain training library of materials for in-house & external courses to agreed service levels and quality assurance standards and deadlines.
  • Promote the effective use of IT as tool to improve user experience and drive efficiency.
  • To provide training and coaching activities by delivery of one-to-one and group learning and development sessions.
  • Ensure Job Role Inductions are completed within set timescales for all employees
  • Ensure all employees have a CPD plan, including mandatory training requirements
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans for all training interventions
  • Ensure effective measurement of intervention delivery
  • Ensure a high level of quality in all internal and external training delivery
  • To proactively monitor training legislation/qualification reforms in order to provide advice, guidance and support in implementation.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience of delivering a wide of training and development interventions within a similar environment or industry
  • Working knowledge of the Prevent Duty and Safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Competent in the professional delivery of training, including knowledge of the whole learning and development cycle, including needs research and evaluation.
  • Willing to travel to our offices in Cardiff, Redditch and Birmingham when required to deliver teaching and learning.
