Key responsibilities
  • To conduct in depth learning needs analysis within existing or potential development areas of the business, recommending appropriate solutions and interventions.
  • Design and deliver robust IT training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual
  • To contribute to the organisations talent and development strategy to ensure training and development interventions support a high performing culture.
  • Ensure that statutory IT training requirements are met
  • Develop and deliver an effective IT induction programme for all job roles.
  • Develop schemes of work to support & enhance remote delivery
  • Help line managers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
  • Keep up to date with developments in training & technology in the market
  • Produce & maintain training library of materials for in-house & external courses
  • Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research
  • Maintain accurate, up to date records of all training activities
  • Keep up to date with the latest Smart Assessor developments and cascade this knowledge across the business.
Key duties

People

  • Adhere to ATLs equality and diversity policy in all aspects of work life
  • Promote the effective use of IT as tool to improve user experience and drive efficiency.
  • Roll out both structured and ad-hoc training session on an individual or group basis.
  • To provide training and coaching activities by delivery of one-to-one and group learning and development sessions.
  • Delivery of professional and personal development training including Management, Leadership and Compliance.
  • Ensure the performance review process is embedded and effectively utilised

Quality & Compliance

  • Develop training plans for all systems used but the business
  • Effectively track and report on employee progress against Individual learning plans.
  • Assess employee’s capabilities and produce and maintain individual learning plans
  • To develop and deliver training materials to agreed service levels and quality assurance standards and deadlines.
  • Ensure a high level of quality in all internal and external training delivery
  • Support the shaping and delivery of training for Safeguarding, Prevent and Equality and Diversity.
  • Ensure Job Role Inductions are completed within set timescales for all employees
  • Oversee the issuing of annual mandatory online training
  • To proactively monitor training legislation/qualification reforms in order to provide advice, guidance and support in implementation.
  • To develop and deliver training materials to agreed service levels and quality assurance standards and deadlines, ensuring this is aligned with company culture, values, policies and procedures.

  • Share best practice both internally and externally
  • Coordination the approach between business training needs and internal Apprenticeship opportunities available.
  • To provide relevant reports to internal stakeholders on key performance measures.

  • Review succession planning and competency frameworks against business growth and organisational development requirements, highlighting gaps, trends and associated risks whilst also linking into retention information and wider employee KPI’s.

Personal Specification

Criteria Requirement (essential/desirable)

  • Occupational competence & knowledge experience of delivering a wide of training and development interventions within a similar environment or industry
  • Working knowledge of the Prevent Duty and Safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Competent in the professional delivery of training, including knowledge of the whole learning and development cycle, including needs research and evaluation.
