Instructional Designer

The Curriculum Team are responsible for the development and management of teaching and
learning resources in a variety of formats and the set up and maintenance of our learning
platforms. As our Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for scoping and developing
innovative resources to meet the needs of our learners and delivery staff.

Key Duties
  • Contribute to our monthly communications to the business
  • Strive to maintain positive working relationships across the team
  • Maintain a flexible approach to support your team and the wider business
  • Provide specialist advice and knowledge to colleagues to support organisational objectives
  • Plan, design and develop impactful learning products which satisfy identified learning
    outcomes.
  • Create interactive e-learning modules from storyboards
  • Prioritise effectively and work on multiple project deliverables with tight deadlines
  • Maintain and update content management and development processes to meet the needs of users including those with disabilities.
  • Promote a positive and professional image of the company and all of the services it delivers through excellent customer service
  • Maintaining our user accounts on various e-commerce sites and uploading products
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree or equivalent in a related field
  • A teaching qualification would be beneficial
  • Project Management qualification
  • Experience of designing blended, immersive and digital learning solutions, including live classroom, virtual live, on-demand, interactive multimedia, video, audio, and mobile learning
  • Experience of using a range of industry standard tools to develop resources
  • An in-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design methodologies
  • Sound understanding of copyright, data protection and other legal issues associated with publishing.
  • In-depth knowledge of accessibility and compliance with WCAG
  • Proactive and keen in looking at ways to improve processes and reduce manual workload
