Health and social care/management Vocational Trainer

Responsible for building long-term relationships with large levy paying employers to secure new apprenticeship starts and levy transfers in line with growth plans and targets. Promotes services to multiple sectors across England, contributing to overall sales strategy.

Key responsibilities

To maintain the responsibility of data protection, ensuring awareness of all Company policies and procedures relating to data protection and to adhere to any instruction(s) given pertaining to this.

Key duties
  • Growth:


    • Identify and prioritise target employers to secure new accounts

    ·        Expand employer base in agreed markets and geography, focusing exclusively on large/levy paying organisations

    ·        Lead client tender/pitch presentations to win new business

    ·        Negotiate commercial contracts with large/levy paying employers

    ·        Maintain an effective sales pipeline and tracking process to provide clear visibility of immediate and future opportunities

    ·        Engage with internal stakeholders, including Operations and Marketing to ensure collaborative approach to employer engagement and marketing

    • Deliver against a range of key performance indicators, resulting in agreed number of account acquisitions and overall start numbers
    • Provide regular and detailed updates against on-going activity to the management team




    ·        Tactical and astute in approach to identify new business opportunities

    ·        Passionate and driven in terms of delivering against set objectives

    ·        Work to the company values

    • Ensure own CPD and professional competency is maintained



    Quality & Compliance:


    • Ensure CRM is being used effectively to record and track activity
    • Ensure team deliver quality sales and learner enrolments in line with Quality & Compliance expectations

    ·        Comply with the company’s equality and diversity, Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies




    • Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external
    • Work closely with wider Business Development team members to maintain understanding of SME employer engagement activity

    ·        Promote a positive and professional image of the Company and all of the services it delivers


Knowledge, Skills & Experience
·        Strong sales knowledge and experience in national sales role

·        Strong working knowledge of:

o   CRM systems and B2B pipeline management

    • best practices in large employer engagement and key account management

·        Previous exposure to apprenticeships/adult education desirable

·        Degree in Business related subject
