Funding & Performance Analyst

We are seeking a Funding & Performance Analyst to ensure the organisation has the right management information to maximise its contracts, supporting the business planning process via analysis of historical and projected delivery patterns, including both financial and quality data analysis.

Key Duties
  • Support the operations and admin teams in interpretation of contract requirements, providing guidance as necessary.
  • Participate in internal and external audit process.
  • To produce and closely monitor funding body profiles, flagging potential and live variances.
  • Update and implement data management policies, procedures and processes.
  • Implement and monitor initiatives to ensure compliance with funding body financial audits.
  • Put in place the right systems to ensure positive external audit results for the organsations data management.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with data protection requirements.
  • To ensure that systems and reports are in place to meet the data requirements of external agencies including funding bodies, external auditors and regulators; liaising with these bodies as appropriate.
  • Maintain and develop internal and external communications.
  • To play a full and active part in the operational management team, supporting staff in the utilisation of management information.
  • Develop reporting systems to ensure the relevance and usability of MI for stakeholders.
  • Support the Managing Director and other management team members in both the production of and reconciliation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Reconcile monthly claims against funding body reports and implement remedial action as required.
  • Suppoort the operations to maximise the potential of government funded contracts.
  • Contribute positively to growth of the business by controlling costs


Qualifications and Experience
  • Accountancy qualification
  • Experience of working with learner and funding management systems
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role for an independent training provider
  • Working knowledge and experience with Power BI desirable, or the appetite and confidence to quickly develop skills (essential)
  • Strong financial awareness and knowledge
  • Knowledge of the Maytas system or similar (desirable)
  • Experience of managing work based learning contracts
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the DfES contract
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role
