Recruiter

We are seeking a Recruiter based at our Birmingham Office to be responsible for recruiting traineeship starts in line with monthly targets and identifying, coordinating and managing work placements with opportunities for progression into employment, further education or apprenticeships.

The salary banding for this role will be a range of £22,000 to £28,000 depending on experience.

Key Duties

 

  • Build relationships with a wide range of referral agencies to recruit learners on to traineeship programmes
  • Increase industry presence and visibility in the Traineeships market
  • Attend local employment events and careers fairs to raise awareness of traineeships
  • Optimise the volume of learners applying for Traineeships
  • Source, co-ordinate and manage work placements and risk assessments and support learners in the work placement process
  • Producing and posting vacancy adverts that attract appropriate learners
  • Understand and strive to exceed KPIs
  • Optimise the number of progressions for learners in line with business target
  • Effectively interview and screen potential learners whilst providing clear information, advice and guidance
  • Liaise with learners and employers to deal with any queries in relation to work placements
  • Ensure CRM and relevant trackers are being used effectively and accurately for reporting
  • Deliver quality sales and learner enrolments in line with Quality & Compliance expectations
  • Ensure fair and transparent recruitment processes in line with company policies
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Cold calling companies to promote traineeships
  • Engage with target groups of learners throughout a broad geographical area
  • Establish and maintain links with local employers in order to source suitable employment vacancies
  • Promote a positive and professional image of the company and all of the services it delivers
  • Partake in industry events and competitions by completing applications and promoting learner/employers/colleagues
Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications

  • NVQ level 2 or above in Customer Service
  • IAG Qualified at Level 3

Experience

  • Competitive with the desire to exceed KPIs
  • Competent in the use of technology with excellent IT skills
  • Satisfactory employment/disclosure checks, commensurate to job role
  • Evidence of sales skills, effective planning, organisation and time management
  • Some experience working with 16-24 age group
  • Excellent and demonstrable sales skills and the ability to generate new leads
  • Previous exposure to adult education desirable
