We are seeking an outstanding Vocational Coach/Assessor (Remote) who will deliver excellent support through teaching, learning & Assessment for trainee dental nurses who are undertaking approved qualifications with the General Dental Council.

Key Duties
  • Support learners, on a one to one basis and within workshops (if required), to achieve qualifications detailed within their individual learning plan.
  • Carry out all organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking associated with teaching and assessment responsibilities.
  • Fully engage learners and employers in the learning process
  • Undertake Internal Quality Assurers activities (If qualified/required)
  • Ensure teaching and assessment practices are good as defined by Ofsted and maintain quality standards as defined by internal and external quality assurers
  • Maintain accurate, up to date records of all assessment activities and support the recruitment and sign-up of new learners
  • Work in partnership with Skills Coaches (who teach Functional Skills) to support effective delivery to learners
  • Deliver high quality teaching, coaching, assessing through blended learning to verifying skills, knowledge and competence of learners
  • Be accountable for the accurate tracking and reporting of learner progress against plan using digital portfolio
  • Conduct timely progress reviews with all learner in your caseload in line with delivery model and stakeholder requirements
  • Manage and maintain quality and compliance measures against targets; access management reporting systems to keep up to date with relevant compliance measures.
  • Where required, invigilate learner tests to the frequency needed both internally and externally to ensure awarding body compliance
  • Keep up to date with and adhere to company, policies and procedures at all times
  • Provide high levels of customer service to learners and employers at all times
  • Support internal stakeholders with accurate forecasting of learner activity and providing information and documents as required
  • Work to maintain a full caseload, managing learners to complete their learning on time
  • Contribute positively to growth of the business by controlling costs

  • Cava/A1 Assessor Qualification
  • Level 3 Diploma – Dental Nursing
  • Functional Skills Level 2 English & Maths (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Dental Nurse
  • Active GDC registrant
