Dental knowledge Coach - Remote

We are seeking a Dental Knowledge Coach to work within our Dental department and deliver an outstanding teaching and learning experience for diverse groups of learners against knowledge based components of apprenticeship standards. An individual who embraces digital technologies and dynamic learning resources to create an engaging remote learning environment which motivates and stretches learners to achieve or exceed their learning goals.

The salary banding for this role will be a range of £24,000 to £26,000 per annum.

Key Duties

People:

Works in partnership with Vocational & Skills Coaches to support effective knowledge delivery to groups of learners from a variety of settings
Ensures own CPD and professional competency is maintained
Strives to maintain positive working relationships across the team
Maintains a flexible approach to support your team and the wider business

Quality & Compliance:

  • Delivers high quality teaching, coaching, assessing through remote group sessions to verify skills, knowledge and competence of learners
  • Support learners to achieve their apprenticeship in accordance with agreed targets and timescales.
  • Accountable for the accurate tracking and reporting of learner progress against plan using digital portfolio, including uploading evidence to learner portfolios
  • Ensures schedule of group sessions is available for learners to book in advance, managing non-attendance so that all learners can progress in a timely way
  • Tracks, monitor and record session delivery satisfaction rates
    Acts as sector expert to review curriculum resources so that they are current and fit for purpose.
  • Manages and maintain quality and compliance measures against targets
  • Accesses management reporting systems to keep up to date with relevant compliance measures.
  • Keeps up to date with and adhere to company, policies and procedures at all times
  • Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding. Playing your part to protect colleagues and learners against all types of bullying, radicalisation  or abuse
  • Takes responsibility for the protection of data in line with policies and procedures

  • Provides high levels of customer service to learners and employers at all times, actively promoting participation in group learning sessions
  • Provides relevant information, advice and guidance in order to support learner progression
  • Supports internal stakeholders with accurate forecasting of learner activity and providing information and documents as required
  • Actively participates with external stakeholders during audits and quality inspections
  • Promotes a positive and professional image of the company and all of the services it delivers through excellent customer service
  • Demonstrates and upholds the company values, creating a great place to work for all

    Works to maximise attendance of group sessions, managing learners to complete their learning on time

Skills and Experience

Skills:

  • Organisational skills and a sound attention to detail
  • Competent in the use and purpose of technology with strong IT
    skills in Microsoft office, learner management systems and Virtual
    learning environments
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication
  • Excellent numeracy
  • Ability to manage targets and deadlines
  • Positive influencing

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Recent experience of working within the relevant delivery sector
    (essential)
  • Working knowledge of the education and training sector
  • Experience in teaching vocational training
  • Experience in delivering remote/classroom group sessions to a
    wide variety of learners
Qualifications and Behaviours

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Vocational qualifications at the same level or higher of those
    being delivered (essential)
  • Full driving licence
  • Relevant teaching qualification
  • Level 4 Information, Advice and Guidance
  • Level 2 English and maths
