Dental IQA

We are looking for a Dental IQA to be responsible for internal quality assurance across the dental provision in England, overseeing Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activity and standardisation to improve quality standards in the dental sector.

Key duties

Key Duties

  • Strives to maintain positive working relationships across the team
  • Maintains a flexible approach to support dental team and the wider business
  • Oversees all aspects of the quality assurance process within the dental sector
  • Ensure IQA activities are completed in line with awarding body requirement maintaining standards and direct claim status
  • Facilitates the company wide verification sampling plan, reporting risk and risk reduction on a monthly basis to key stakeholders
  • Leads and supports standardisation across the sector with a detailed and comprehensive plan
  • Supports the achievement of quality KPI’s with the dental IQA’s
  • Engages with key stakeholders within the Awarding Bodies & Sector Skills Council
  • Leads dental external quality assurance visits, ensuring Awarding Body and End Point Assessment Organisation processes are adhered to and centre status is retained
  • Maintain regular contact with EQA’s for internal verification support and business requirements
  • Support internal stakeholders with accurate forecasting of learner activity and providing information and documents as required
  • Actively participate with external stakeholders in audits and quality inspections
  • Promotes a positive and professional image of the company and all of the services it delivers through excellent customer service
  • Demonstrates and upholds the company values, creating a great place to work for all

 

Knowledge, skills, behaviours

Knowledge and desirable experience:

  • Extensive working knowledge of the dental sector including apprenticeships
  • Ability to drive improvements through IQA interventions that support the sector and business needs
  • Strong working knowledge of End Point Assessment

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 English and maths
  • A1 assessor award or equivalent (Essential)
  • V1 verifier award or equivalent (Essential)
  • Management level 4 or equivalent (Desirable)

Skills:

  • Competent in the use and purpose of technology with strong IT skills in Microsoft office, learner management systems and Virtual learning environments
  • Coaching and mentoring of team member to improve performance
  • Influencing
  • Organisational skills and a sound attention to detail
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
