Childcare Vocational Coach

Aspiration Training are currently looking to recruit a Childcare Vocational Coach to work in Cardiff. The role is 30 hours per week and will involve assessing Childcare at Levels 2, 3 & 5.

Key responsibilities

As a Childcare Vocational Coach some of your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Support learners, on a one to one basis to achieve qualifications detailed within their individual learning plan.
  • Carry out all organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking associated with teaching and assessment responsibilities.
  • Fully engage learners and employers in the learning process
  • Ensure teaching and assessment practices are good as defined by Estyn
  • Maintain quality standards as defined by internal and external quality assurers
Key duties
  • Access management reporting systems to keep up to date with relevant compliance measures.   
  • Where required, invigilate learner tests to the frequency needed both internally and externally to ensure awarding body compliance 
  • Provide high levels of customer service to learners and employers at all times 
  • Encourage and motivate learners to achieve targets 
  • Provide relevant information, advice and guidance in order to support learner progression 
  • Support internal stakeholders with accurate forecasting of learner activity and providing information and documents as required

Personal Specification

 

  • Hold a recognised Assessor Award
  • Hold a Childcare Level 5 Qualification
  • Experience of assessing to Level 5
  • Hold a full driving licence
  • Have a good attention to detail
  • Have excellent written, verbal, numerical and communication skills
  • Be organised
  • Be able to manage targets and deadlines
  • Be a positive influence to learners
