Careers Advisor

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can recruit, place and retain apprentices on behalf of Aspiration Training. The role will include identifying and sourcing Apprenticeship vacancies for a designated caseload of candidates, providing tailored Careers Education Advice & Guidance and supporting learners matched to the vacancies to secure the role and transition into employment.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage employer relationships to maximise business growth opportunities
  • Achievement of monthly/quarterly apprenticeship levy starts targets
  • Contribution to and ownership of national business development plan to target new and existing employers in sector/geography
  • Complete business development activity in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Attend and contribute to regular sales team meetings, supporting colleagues with relevant engagement activities
  • Timely follow up and conversion of leads and referrals as appropriate
  • Engagement with Marketing department to identify and execute localised or national campaigns, alongside social media activity
  • Regular use of CRM platform and ensuring that all records are updated and maintained accurately
  • Contribution to and ownership of providing employers with regular and updated employer reports, in line with requirements.
  • Awareness of business capacity and competency across breadth of sectors/locations
  • Build and maintain healthy business pipeline
  • Knowledgeable about different funding streams and career pathways in sector to ensure correct IAG provided
  • Proficient and on-going understanding of Apprenticeship Levy and associated funding routes
  • Attend and contribute to events and trade shows
Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Experience

  • Strong sales knowledge and experience in sales role
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • CRM systems and B2B pipeline management
    • best practices in large employer engagement

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous exposure to apprenticeships/adult education desirable
  • Level 2 Sales / Customer Service qualification
  • Information Advice & Guidance
