Are you looking to join a growing and successful team within the area of Business Development?

If so, then we have the opportunity for you. We are seeking a Careers Advisor to join our Business Development Team in the Redditch area, who’s purpose will be to take responsibility for the recruitment, placement and retention of apprentices on behalf of Aspiration Training. The role will include identifying and sourcing Apprenticeship vacancies for a designated caseload of candidates, providing tailored CEIAG and supporting learners matched to the vacancies to secure the role and transition into employment.

Key Duties

People: 

  • Ensure own CPD and professional competency is maintained 
  • Strive to maintain positive working relationships across the team 
  • Maintain a flexible approach to support your team and the wider business 
  • Maintain and effectively market a pipeline of Apprenticeship vacancies across multiple sectors 
  • Thoroughly screen and assess all potential Apprenticeship applicants for eligibility and suitability for programmes 
  • Engage with Apprenticeship candidates across a broad geographical areas 
  • Understand potential Apprentices’ employment ambitions and skills for matching with current or newly identified vacancies 
  • Ensure sufficient vacancies are sourced to allow all potential Apprentices opportunities for placement  
  • Offer CEIAG and support to current learners at risk of redundancy 
  • Liaise with wider Business Development teams to ensure a healthy vacancy pipeline is maintained 
  • Communicate with potential Apprentices, updating them with progress in matching them to vacancies and ensure that they remain committed to securing an Apprenticeship 
  • Support potential Apprentices with the application and interview process 
  • Liaise with employers and maintain effective working relationships for placement of candidates  
  • Ensure that additional vacancies generated through the placement process are advertised on relevant platforms, including CRM 
  • To work with delivery teams to identify and support students who are ‘at risk of leaving’ during their employment 
  • Engage with Marketing team to contribute to campaigns to generate candidate attraction via social media channels 
  • Maintain close links with designated specialist external agencies and develop effective referral systems, including school engagement activity. 
  • Participate in team and company meetings. 
  • Ensure fair and transparent recruitment processes for all eligible candidates

  • Commits and contributes to maintaining an effective safeguarding culture and takes responsibility for helping to protect colleagues and learners against any risk of harm, including all types of bullying, radicalisation or abuse

Qualifications and Experience

Knowledge & Desirable Experience:

  • Previous exposure to apprenticeships desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems management
  • Extensive experience of learner and employer engagement
  • Proven track record of recruitment activity

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Customer Service qualification
  • Information Advice & Guidance
  • Level 2 English and maths

Skills:

  • Competent in the use and purpose of technology with strong IT skills in Microsoft office, learner management systems and Virtual learning environments
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Planning and organising

  • Presentation skills
  • IT and CRM management
