Business Development Manager

We are seeking a motivated and driven individual to join us here at Aspiration Training, to work as a Business Development Manager, working remotely covering the Birmingham area. We are looking for someone who’ll maintain very strong relationships with existing clients whilst also actively seeking new Business opportunities and delivering on their own personal KPI’S.  In this position, though remote working , you will feel part of a team, with ample colleagues around you to offer support and guidance. Inclusion and teamwork and two of many things that we feel are paramount to our continued success.

Please note that having a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this position.

The salary banding for this role will be a range of £28,000 to £30,000 per annum depending on experience!

Business Development Manager

Key Duties
  • Planning and targeting of eligible employers to promote company service proposition
  • Monitor own business development performance in line with role KPIs, ensuring that a consistent, ongoing sales pipeline is identified, leading to the achievement of sales targets
  • Follow up on any enquires in a timely manner to ensure excellent service and effective conversion of leads
  • Conduct employer presentations to win new business
  • Identify any suitable opportunities to promote other company service e.g. apprenticeship provision and refer to wider BD team members
  • Contribute positively to growth of the business by controlling costs
  • Confidently promote the benefits of self-service enrolment process and ensure that all starts are fully compliant, in line with eligibility requirements
  • Strive for ‘right first time sales’ and learner enrolments in line with Quality & Compliance expectations
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with employers to support the achievement of sales targets
  • Knowledgeable about different funding streams and career pathways in sector to ensure correct IAG provided
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in a remote telesales role
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment
  • Good working knowledge of: CRM systems and pipeline management
  • Previous exposure to adult education


  • Competent in the use of technology e.g. Microsoft office and CRM
  • Negotiation & Influencing
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Planning and organising; delivery of sales presentations
  • Driven by exceeding sales targets; motivating & engaging
  • ‘Can-do’ approach
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely

Desirable Qualifications

  • Level 2 English and maths
  • Level 4 Information Advice & Guidance
