Key Duties

People:

  • Ensure own CPD and professional competency is maintained
  • Strive to maintain positive working relationships across the team
  • Maintain a flexible approach to support your team and the wider business
  • Build relationships with Business Development Managers and operational colleagues to drive distance learning and curriculum referrals from existing employers 

Quality & Compliance:

  • Keep up to date with and adhere to company, policies and procedures at all times 
  • Take responsibility for the protection of data in line with policies and procedures 
  • Commits and contributes to maintaining an effective safeguarding culture and takes responsibility for helping to protect colleagues and learners against any risk of harm, including all types of bullying, radicalisation or abuse  
  • Ensure initial assessments, health and Safety vetting and enrolments are completed in a timely and compliant manner.  
  • Respond to and resolve enrolment queries from the Administration team in a timely manner 
  • Ensure CRM is being used effectively and accurately for tracking activity and reporting 
  • Strive for right first-time sales and learner enrolments in line with quality & compliance expectations 

Stakeholders:

  • Promote a positive and professional image of the company and all of the services it delivers through excellent customer service 
  • To demonstrate and uphold the company values, creating a great place to work for all 
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with employers to support the achievement of sales targets 
  • Support employers in your region as the first point of contact to deliver effective account management and maximise business opportunities 
  • Engagement with the Marketing department to identify and execute localised campaigns, contributing to social media activity and attending events 
  • Maintain awareness of business capacity and competency across region by working closely with delivery teams 
  • Knowledgeable about different funding streams and career pathways in sector to deliver effective Information Advice and Guidance 

Growth:

  • Contributing to and executing the sales strategy for Curriculum, CPD and Distance learning packages 
  • Contribute positively to growth of the business by controlling costs 
  • Monitor own business development performance in line with role KPIs, ensuring that a consistent, ongoing sales pipeline is identified, leading to the achievement of sales targets 
  • Ownership of business development plan to target new and existing employers  
  • Responsible for generating own leads and converting them 
  • Work with the wider marketing teams to generate sales campaigns and seek new opportunities for growth  
  • Analysis and utilise CRM data for sales generation and reporting 
  • Timely follow up and conversion of leads and referrals  
  • Conduct employer presentations to win new business 
  • Identify any suitable opportunities to promote other company service refer to wider Business Development team members 
Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 English and maths
  • Level 4 Information Advice & Guidance
  • Driving Licence

Experience:

  • Experienced sales professional with track record of exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment 
  • Working knowledge of using CRM systems effectively throughout the B2B pipeline process 
  • Experience of developing new business opportunities using a variety of methods including cold calling, email campaigns and networking 
  • Previous exposure to apprenticeships/adult education 

Skills:

  • Competent in the use and purpose of technology with strong IT skills in Microsoft Office, learner management systems and CRM 
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills 
  • Influencing and negotiation ability in a sales environment 
  • Competent at creating and delivering sales presentations 
  • Proven communicator, and influencer, with the ability to engage and nurture relationships across a wide range of sectors 
  • Planning and organising
