Business Development Manager - AEB & Curriculum

We are seeking a Business Development Manager responsible for identifying, engaging and securing new business for Distance Learning provision in agreed locations across England whilst supporting the Curriculum function. Promoting our services across multiple sectors, and accountable for overall achievement of monthly starts targets.

Please note that having a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this position.

In addition, we are offering an OTE of up to £36,000 per annum and an exceptional benefits package.

Key Duties

Growth:

 

  • Planning and tactical targeting of employers to promote portfolio of distance learning provision
  • Promoting our range of commercial courses to employers and external stakeholders, including training and educational establishments
  • Showcase and demonstrate our training platforms to prospective customers to provide detailed overview of a learner journey
  • Discuss and clearly highlight any commercial prices to ensure transparency, whilst obtaining customer commitment to training costs
  • Shape and implement our on-going employer engagement strategy
  • Monitor own business development performance in line with role KPIs, ensuring that required amount of employer engagement calls are executed on a consistent basis to ensure an ongoing pipeline of starts are identified
  • Confidently promote the benefits of self-service enrolment process and ensure that all starts are fully compliant, in line with eligibility requirements
  • Engage with Marketing department on regular basis to input ideas to contribute to design and scheduling employer campaigns
  • Follow up on any inbound enquires in a timely manner to ensure effective conversion of leads
  • Conduct employer presentations as and when applicable
  • Maintain on going activity tracker to provide visibility of starts pipeline
  • Identify any suitable opportunities to promote apprenticeship provision and refer to wider BD team members
  • Contribute to team meetings and conference calls

  • Ensure compliance with candidate enrolment via application link / sign up and on-going liaison with Admin department
  • Ensure CRM is being used effectively to record and track activity
  • Ensure all learner enrolments are in line with Quality & Compliance expectations, with all learners meeting eligibility requirements
  • Comply with the company’s equality and diversity, Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies

Stakeholders:

  • Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Manage key employer relationships in region to deliver an outstanding level of service at all times
  • Promote a positive and professional image of the Company and all of the services it delivers

Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong sales knowledge and experience in sales role
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • CRM systems and B2B pipeline management
    • best practices in employer engagement
  • Previous exposure to apprenticeships/adult education desirable
  • Level 2 Sales / Customer Service qualification
