This week is National Apprenticeship Week, and the theme is ‘build your future’. It aims to encourage everyone to think about how apprenticeships help individuals to build the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career.

Get in touch with us today to find out more about our apprenticeships.

What Does an Apprenticeship Involve?

An apprenticeship can be started at any stage of a person’s career. Apprentices range from young people at the beginning of their career, to established professionals developing their current skills or looking to enter a new line of work.

Most intermediate or advanced apprenticeships require at least 5 A*-C GCSE grades, including English and maths subjects. Degree level apprenticeships level 3 qualifications including A levels, NVQs, or a BTEC Some employers will expect or require applicants to have studied subjects relevant to the apprenticeship.

We asked a digital marketing apprentice at Aspiration Training about her thoughts, and she said:

‘I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship to anybody, whether you are coming out of education or if you want to change your career path further down the line. Earning whilst you learn is a great incentive and I have found it very helpful to have a good mix of education and on the job experience at the same time.’
