About the dental practice manager level 4 apprenticeship
The apprentice must be at least 16 years old and will be required to undertake a DBS check.
They must also have the ability to access all aspects of the dental practice management systems including some aspects of finances, marketing, practice development and recruitment.
Apprentices will also be expected to have completed their functional skills or equivalent in Maths and English at Level 2.
This higher level dental nursing apprenticeship takes 15 months, with up to 3 months EPA for completion.
The apprentice will be expected to complete the 6 mandatory diploma units below, including 3 optional:
• Understanding organisational culture and context
• Health and safety in the workplace
• Information systems
• Financial management
• Culture and context
This higher level apprenticeship will include a wide range of teaching, learning techniques and styles including one-to-one coaching, observations, practical assessments, mentoring, and independent research with e-learning.
When taking on a dental practice manager level 4 apprenticeship course the majority of time will be spent learning in the workplace. Your apprentice will receive regular workplace assessments which will assess their competency. They will be required to sit various exams during the programme, in addition to creating a portfolio of their learning to present at the end of their apprenticeship.

Apprentices must be paid at least the national minimum wage for apprentices if they are aged 19 and under or aged 19 and over and in their first year of an apprenticeship.
