Modern medicines are powerful substances which have beneficial effects for millions of people worldwide. However, inappropriate use or handling of these substances can have severe consequences, including death. Having good up-to-date knowledge of the safe handling of medicines is essential for anyone working with medication

The course is made of up the following units:

• Understanding medication and prescriptions
• Supply, storage and disposal of medication
• Understanding the requirements for the safe administration of medication
• Record keeping and audit processes for medication administration and storage

Eligibility

• Learner must be 19+ as of past August
• Must hold level 1 qualification (any discipline)
• Not currently on an apprenticeship programme
• Lived in UK past 3 years
• Access to computer/laptop (mobile phone platform not suitable)
• Any employment status

Delivery

• Course duration between 6 – 26 weeks
• Flexible working – complete at a time and date to suit learner

Certification

• Upon completion, learner receives Level 2 accredited certificate

Cost

• £449 + VAT
