The care planning – level 2 course is designed to promote nursing and care theory, with specific regard to care planning, and to assist with applying that theory into practice.

Care planning is a way of agreeing, arranging and managing the services required to enable a person to live at home or to move into a residential or nursing home.

The course is made of up the following units:

• Understanding person centred thinking and planning
• Care planning for the care worker
• Understanding nutrition and hydration in social care settings
• Principles of supporting an individual to maintain personal hygiene
• Understanding continence care
• Principles of supporting sleep

Eligibility

• Learner must be 19+ as of past August
• Must hold level 1 qualification (any discipline)
• Not currently on an apprenticeship programme
• Lived in UK past 3 years
• Access to computer/laptop (mobile phone platform not suitable)
• Any employment status

Delivery

• Course duration between 6 – 26 weeks
• Flexible working – complete at a time and date to suit learner

Certification

• Upon completion, learner receives Level 2 accredited certificate

• £449 + VAT
