Certificate in awareness of mental health problems (QCF)
Mental health presents one of the greatest challenges to our society. With an estimated 450 million people worldwide suffering from a mental health problem, around a quarter of British adults will experience some form of mental health problem within the course of a year. While many elements of mental health are still not understood, having a good knowledge of the information that is available is essential if you work in the care sector, in a management or HR position.
The course is made of up the following units:
- Understanding mental health
- Understanding stress
- Understanding anxiety
- Understanding phobias
- Understanding depression
- Understanding post-natal depression
- Understanding bipolar disorder
- Understanding schizophrenia
- Understanding dementia
- Understanding eating disorders
- Understanding Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Understanding obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Understanding post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Eligibility
- Learner must be 19+ as of past August
- Must hold level 1 qualification (any discipline)
- Not currently on an apprenticeship programme
- Lived in UK past 3 years
- Access to computer/laptop (mobile phone platform not suitable)
- Any employment status
Delivery
- Course duration between 6 – 26 weeks
- Flexible working – complete at a time and date to suit learner
Certification
- Upon completion, learner receives Level 2 accredited certificate
Cost
- £449 + VAT
