Dental Nursing – Level 3
This Apprenticeship is aimed at Dental Nurses employed in general practice, community dental services and hospitals. Completion of this Apprenticeship enables registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
How long is the course?
This course runs for 12 months
learners will be given support from specialist tutors and trainers that will deliver training in workshops and in the workplace and provide telephone and e-mail support between visits.
Learners will also be given access to an e-portfolio, Smart Assessor, which includes all of the resources required to complete the qualification.
What qualifications will learners achieve?
- Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing
- Level 3 Award in Employment and personal Learning Skills in Health
- Level 2 Essential Application of Number Skills
- Level 2 Essential Communication Skills
You must be 16 years or older
There are usually no formal qualifications necessary (dependant on employer).
Suitable for those working in an oral health environment or have considerable knowledge and skills in relation to dental equipment, instruments and materials.
