Improve the lives of people affected with dementia

Today marks the beginning of Dementia Action Week 2021, a campaign run by the Alzheimer’s Society to encourage us all to take action to improve the lives of people living with dementia.

According to the Alzheimer’s Society, nearly 1 million people with dementia and their families are struggling to get the support and care that they need and deserve. They are calling upon the government to provide quality social care, that is free and easy to access, no matter where you live.

How you can support

One of the best ways to help combat this issue is through increased awareness and ensuring that you have a highly trained team who are qualified across a wide range of issues facing the health and social care sector.

You can recruit a full trained adult care worker apprentice into your business. Whether you are taking on new staff or upskilling existing members of your team, apprenticeships are a clear signal that you are prepared to uphold high standards of training for your service users; that you care about your staff and their level of qualification in your industry. This not only inspires loyalty but speaks volumes as to your commitment to a continual delivery of high levels of service.
