Aspiration Training is closely monitoring the ongoing outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), and we continue to proactively follow healthcare advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and government Health Authorities. We have a robust Business Continuity Plan (BCP) in place to ensure we maintain our ongoing service levels to our customers through this outbreak. An active internal review group is meeting daily to monitor and assess the situation, and we are ready to implement additional measures should the need arise.

Aspiration Training fully embrace flexible and remote working and are set up to deliver teaching and learning to our apprentices through Smart Sessions and other online systems to ensure that they can continue with their apprenticeship and learning.

What support is there for apprentices who are furloughed?

We appreciate that it may be necessary for your apprentice to be furloughed (granted a leave of absence) due to changes in your business due to Coronavirus.

In this event, we are ready to continue supporting your apprentice with remote teaching and learning whilst they are temporarily stood down from work. So far we have found many apprentices are extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue progressing with their training whilst off work, and our Vocational Coaches and Skills Coaches are here to keep your apprentices engaged and motivated to progress with their learning during this difficult time.

If your apprentice is not in a position to undertake further training whilst they are temporarily stood down from work, we are able to support them with a Break in Learning until they return to work.

Please talk to one of the Aspiration Training Team so we can help you in the event of a team member being furloughed.

What support is there for apprentices who are made redundant?

In the event that one of your apprentices is made redundant, they can be supported with a Break in Learning for up to 12 weeks. Aspiration Training remains committed to supporting learners who need to take a Break in Learning during this time and our Vocational Coaches will continue to engage with learners remotely whilst they are on their Break in Learning.

Our recruitment team will also be working hard to source alternative employment for any apprentice who is made redundant and it is our goal to keep learners engaged so they can continue their apprenticeship.

We will be updating this document as the situation develops and we have more information to share, so please check back regularly for updates.

Please be assured that we are here to help in any capacity we can. Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you require extended support; need to change visits; or would like any additional information.

You can either talk to your primary Aspiration Training contact or get in touch via our email address enquires@aspirationtraining.com
