Foundation Apprenticeship in Children’s Care, Learning
The Foundation Apprenticeship is aimed at anyone working in a supporting role such as Nursery Assistant, Cynorthwydd Cylch, Crèche Worker or Special Educational Needs Assistant. It will provide the skills and knowledge required to support children and their families within a range of settings.
How long is the course?
This apprenticeship course is completed over 12 months.
Learners will be given support from specialist tutors and trainers that will deliver training in workshops and in the workplace and provide telephone and e-mail support between visits.
Learners will also be given access to an e-portfolio, Smart Assessor, which includes all of the resources required to complete the qualification.
What qualifications will learners achieve?
- Level 2 Diploma in Children’s Care Learning and Development
- Level 1 Essential Application of Number Skills
- Level 2 Essential Communication Skills
- Level 1 Essential Digital Literacy Skills
You must be 16 years or older.
Experience of paid or voluntary work in a childcare setting is desired.
Good literacy skills are required.
