Outstanding contribution to traineeships

Each month at Aspiration Training our teams nominate employers whom they feel have made an outstanding contribution to supporting our learners with apprenticeships and traineeships. Each nomination is then voted on and a monthly award given.

This month we congratulate our employer partner ‘Our Little Angelz’ nursery on their outstanding contribution to traineeships. Kelly Stone, the nursery manager and her team are always welcoming and supportive in providing opportunities for our learners to get their careers in childcare started.

Kelly was nominated by our traineeship’s skills coach Bernadette Stone. Her nomination statement read:

‘We have worked with this childcare employer for a number of years and they are very enthusiastic about our traineeship learners and giving them a chance to experience what it is like to work in any one of their three busy childcare settings. They are always open and accept our traineeship learners for placement and on two occasions have taken two candidates on placement that have then gone on to an apprenticeship and who are now full – time employees of the Our Little Angelz family. We are very grateful to work with employers such as Our little Angelz who are a shining example of how our traineeship / apprenticeship offering works and we can always rely on the team to help get our candidates childcare career journeys started.’

After Kelly Stone received the award she said ‘I would firstly like to say thank you to Aspiration Training for supporting the setting when it comes to childcare apprenticeships or placements. FT has always been very helpful, and ensured he was able to help with any queries we may have had.’

She then goes on to say ‘We have had a number of people completing their 100 hours with ourselves, and the majority have always been on time, polite and happy to learn. The 100 hours is a great way for people to get a feel of a setting, and how a nursery runs on a day to day basis. It allows the employer to see how the applicant works on a day to day basis, which is great when you are looking to employ someone as this allows you to observe them both practically as well as their knowledge. We are honoured to have won this award.’

We value our ongoing relationships with employers such as‘Our Little Angelz’ and hope to continuously work with this employer and others to develop the workforce of the future. We know our learners are in safe hands as they provide a strong foundation for them to build their careers on.

Congratulations Kelly and ‘Our Little Angelz’ on your outstanding contribution to traineeships.
