Aspiration Training teams up with Youth Employment UK to help young people build bright futures.
Aspiration Training has partnered with Youth Employment UK to strengthen and enrich our already successful traineeship programme and help more young people on their journey to work.
Building on our current traineeship delivery programme, Aspiration Training will now embed Youth Employment UK’s Young Professional courses into all traineeship programmes.
Traineeship programmes help young people who want to access an apprenticeship or job, but who don’t yet have the appropriate skills or experience. Over 75% of young people who attend the programme go on to a job, an apprenticeship or further education.
Aspiration Training’s traineeship programme consists of three components: work preparation training tailored to entry to a trainee’s vocational sector of choice, a work experience placement and support with English, maths and digital skills. This is all provided by specialist teams who give expert careers advice and support to help young people into work.
Developed by Youth Employment UK in consultation with young people, the Young Professional online training courses are skills development programmes that help young people to understand and build confidence in their skills and knowledge. It provides the latest support, advice, training and inspiration to young people in bite-sized content. Young Professional: Prepare for your future is designed with 14 – 16-year-olds in mind with Young Professional: Journey to Work designed for 17+.
Following a successful pilot period, Aspiration Training will now be embedding the programme into all of their traineeship delivery.

We are delighted to partner with Youth Employment UK to strengthen the traineeship journey to help more young people navigate their way successfully into the world of work. The ‘Journey to Work’ and ‘Prepare for your Future’ programmes enrich the careers information, advice and guidance our coaches provide to young trainees. Feedback from learners has been extremely positive and it is tremendous to see the skills and confidence of our trainees enriched further on their career journey programme.

Our Young Professional Programmes are designed to give young people the support and scaffolding to take control of their future. Teaming our expert digital skills and careers resources with the support from the Aspiration Training coaches will help more young people to thrive in their traineeships and to feel more confident in progressing in their next steps.

The ESFA and Youth Employment UK are working very closely together to help young people develop the skills they need to progress in to apprenticeships and employment through both the traineeships programme and Young Professional training. So, it is great to see Aspiration Training bringing both training programmes together to help young people boost their life and work skills. I am really looking forward to seeing the impact this innovative approach will have on the lives of young people.
