Supporting Our Community: Our Charities of the Quarter

Aspiration Training has a long history of supporting charities, and, in 2019, we set up the Aspire Fund. All money raised throughout the year, including direct donations from salary and a range of other activities, goes into the fund.

Team members can request funding to support local charities and community groups close to their hearts.

Each quarter, we carefully select charities that are close to our Team Members’ hearts, align with our values and can benefit from our contributions.

In Wales we have selected to award £250 to Myrddin Special Needs Unit. Based in the heart of Carmarthen, they cater for children with profound and severe learning difficulties and Autism. This money will allow this charity to purchase some vital resources.

In England, we have selected to award £50 to Papyrus, as sponsorship for a fundraising boxing match in November.

We have also chosen to give £200 to Acorns Hospice. We will be supporting a charity that is currently caring for a family member of one of our team, who has a rare condition called Alexandra Disease, which means he is unable to walk, talk and not do many things a normal 3-year-old can do. He attends Acorns Hospice, which help many children with rare conditions.

Not only this, but we have also selected to award £250 to Dentaid to support an upcoming trip for one of our Team Members to Uganda early next year, allowing her to provide dental care to hundreds of patients who live without a dental provision.

By collaborating with these charities, we aim to not only contribute financially but also to raise awareness about their cause. We are confident that our efforts can help to create lasting change. Together, we can make a difference.
