Job description
As an apprentice you will be a key member of the nursery team, your duties may include:
Planning and delivering fun and educational activities with the children
Play alongside and with children to support their play
Contribute to children’s records through observation
Assist with the supervision of children at rest times and at mealtimes
Contribute in creating a safe, happy environment for the children
Ensure the play area is clean and tidy at all times
Working alongside outside agencies in supporting the children

Employer information
At Lodge Park Little Sneakers, they provide childcare for children aged between 12 weeks and 5 years, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. The nursery is open 51 weeks a year, and is only closed for Bank Holidays, and a week at Christmas.
At Little Sneakers Childcare children’s happiness and wellbeing is at the heart of everything they do. With two unique nursery settings allowing babies, toddlers and preschool children to flourish. They also have two afterschool clubs for school age children.
They have a holistic approach to child development and seek to simultaneously address the physical, emotional, relational, intellectual, and spiritual aspects of a child’s life. They appreciate that this is largely dependent on a positive relationship and communication between the nursery staff and parents. Therefore, they endeavour to work in partnership with parents and keep them informed of all aspects of their child’s well-being and progress at nursery
With seperate rooms for different ages and a lovely outside area to play and explore. The setting is dedicated to providing the best care for children.

Requirements
Good Maths- A-C (9-4) Grades in maths or equivalent is desired but not essential
Good English - A-C (9-4) Grades in English or equivalent is desired but not essential
Prospects
Progression to a higher level qualification or full time employment may be available after completion of the apprenticeship.
Training provided
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Diploma
Level 1 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
End-Point Assessment (EPA)
