Apprenticeship incentive scheme 2020: How we can help you

A few weeks ago, the Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced that as a part of his ‘Plan for Jobs’, a new apprenticeship incentive scheme was going to be put in place to encourage businesses of all sectors to look at hiring apprentices in order to kick start the nation’s economy post lockdown.

It goes without saying that hiring an apprentice can have significant value for both the apprentice themselves and the business that hires the apprentice and now it seems that the government have recognised this by the introduction of various incentive payments based on the age for any business that hires a new apprentice from 1st August. In some cases, where an apprentice aged 16-18 is hired, the incentive payment will be £3000! (£2000 from the new incentive payment plus an additional £1000 incentive that was already in place prior to August 2020)
